Argentina
As for my other obsession, there are probably more than 100 tennis clubs with at least a couple of red clay courts:
- Club Nautico de San Isidro: lots of courts, huge beautiful clubhouse with spectacular view on the Rio de la Plata, sorry i missed the one shot with a willow on the riverside and the full moon shining with blue-ish light in the background, where i attended a cocktail and the announcement of an “older than 80 class” for the yearly tennis tournament, with 5 contenders for the trophy.
- Club Comercio: just another club that I visited, but it did feature some top youth players.
- Vilas club: now this is something else. You want to meet Guillermo Vilas ? No problem. You want to see Cañas play against Moya ? It might just happen if there’s an ATP tournament in BsAs. Great staff, good gym, great club. But it’s not the cheapest around town.
- Club de Amigos: cheap and good I heard.
While we’re on the sportspage, I had to see Polo, since Argentina is the number one in this sport that’s played by the rich and famous. What a class !
